Marisa Lawrence:

Hi. I'm Dr. Marisa Lawrence, and I'm about to have my favorite procedure performed. This is our HydraFacial unit, and it's run by our aesthetician, Courtney Cox.

Courtney Cox:

Hi, I'm Courtney Cox. I am the medical aesthetician for Dr. Marisa Lawrence's office. I'm about to do a HydraFacial on Dr. Lawrence today, and it's awesome for rejuvenating skin. It sucks out blackheads. It uses peptides, hyaluronic acid for hydration, vitamins and minerals back into the skin, and we can also customize it with boosters to do specific things for either brightening, collagen building, or we do have a growth factor that actually helps with anti-aging properties. And the best thing about the HydraFacial, it is one of the safest procedures that we can do right now during these times. I wear full safety precaution gear, and this is completely sanitizable. So, we have the wipes. We sanitize.

Courtney Cox:

And everything with the HydraFacial is disposable, so each time you come in and get a treatment, these are all brand new. You use a new one every time you come in. And it is a closed system, so nobody icky cells or germs or anything is going to get on you. It is fresh, clean product every single time that you come in, so it's very safe to get. You can feel comfortable having this done, and you'll have beautiful glowing skin.

Marisa Lawrence:

It is my absolute favorite procedure. I have at least one of these treatments per month, and it really makes a big difference in what my skin looks and feels like. After a treatment, my makeup goes on smoother. My products penetrate better. My skin feels cleaner and healthier, and so I'm really excited that I'm going to share this procedure with you guys today. These facials are really good ways to prepare your skin for other procedures we do in this office, more invasive procedures.

Marisa Lawrence:

I like my facelift patients to have a facial before their surgery. Their skin is cleaner and fresher and healthier, and I think they feel better after surgery. These are also good facials to have in preparation for events. For example, my daughter got married in December and did a series of HydraFacials. Prior to her wedding her skin glowed. She didn't really need any makeup the day of her wedding.

Courtney Cox:

Neither did you because we did-

Marisa Lawrence:

Neither did I.

Courtney Cox:

... You had [crosstalk 00:04:13].

Marisa Lawrence:

My patients know I wear no makeup whatsoever. I don't like foundation or blush. I think if you have healthy skin, it really speaks for itself.

Courtney Cox:

This is what is called the Gly/Sal Peel. It is a little mini peel for the face. This tip is a little bit more exfoliating. So, we're going to just gently dot or feather the solution on to the skin. She may feel a little bit of a tingle or an itchy sensation. What this is doing is loosening the glue between the dead skin cells so that we get even more dead skin off. This is what gives you that glow because if you have a layer of self sitting on top of the skin, your baby, new, fresh skin underneath can't shine, I guess you could say, the way you would really like it to. So, what this is going to do is this is just going in. We're using it in a little light layer into the skin, and she can get good exfoliation.

Courtney Cox:

As far as HydraFacials go we have three different kinds. We have our signature which is our basic HydraFacial, which is what I'm doing... These steps right now. And then we have a deluxe, and the deluxe includes one of two different boosters. You can either do the dermal builder burst booster that helps with collagen, kind of plumps lines, or you can do the brighten all booster which helps with pigment. Then we have our platinum HydraFacial, which is our big daddy of all the HydraFacials. It is all of these steps, but then we also include your choice of a regular booster and our void factor.

Courtney Cox:

And you can even add on a 24K gold mask, which helps build collagen off this. There's all kinds of different ways that you can customize this HydraFacial to your skin. And what we're about to do now is we are going to do the extractions on Dr. Lawrence. This is everybody's favorite part to it because it literally goes in and uses the solution to suck out the blackheads.

Courtney Cox:

I am putting the growth factor on Dr. Lawrence's skin. This is a plant-based growth factor. This is our antioxidant infusion. Antioxidants are like little ninjas for the skin. What were going to do is they go and they fight off free radical damage caused by the environment, by pollution, by our makeup, all kinds of different things. So, when we infuse antioxidants back in your skin we're healing and were protecting the skin.

Courtney Cox:

So, this is the end result. You can see the little gunkies. Everybody has gunkies. That's everything that came out of the skin, also with some of the solutions, but it works really great for getting rid of all of the gunk in your pores, cleans you out, and leaves your skin nice and fresh.

Marisa Lawrence:

This is one of my other favorite products.

Courtney Cox:

I love this stuff.

Marisa Lawrence:

I really like cleanse. I use it as a moisturizer and brightener on my arms. This stuff works really nicely to get rid of the pigment and sun damage.

Courtney Cox:

And it smells so good.

Marisa Lawrence:

And it really does smell good, too.

Courtney Cox:

It smells good, really, really good. She's all done.
